Bee Hive

The essay explores the beehive as an Anthropocene object that connects historical, ecological and technological aspects of the human relationship to nature. Beehives have gradually become a symbol of environmental responsibility, urban beekeeping and biodiversity conservation, but they also reveal the paradoxical effects of human efforts to repair ecological damage. The text traces the evolution from traditional beekeeping to technological innovations to urban hives, highlighting their potentially negative impact on wild pollinators and local ecosystems. The beehive thus represents not only a tool of agricultural production, but a metaphor for the complex relationships between humans and nature in the Anthropocene era.
