
We are pleased to announce that our project “Anthropocene Ruptures: Crossing Borders, Building Connections” has been awarded funding through the CENTRAL Workshops 2025 program.
The CENTRAL network focuses on inter-university cooperation within the Central European region. Through international workshops, our project bring together researchers from Charles University, the University of Vienna, and Humboldt University in Berlin. Together, we will explore how the concept of the Anthropocene shapes our understanding of environmental and societal transformations, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration.
Planned Activities:
- 1st Workshop: Prague, October 9–10, 2025
- 2nd Workshop: Vienna or Berlin, Spring 2026
The program includes:
- roundtable discussions on Anthropocene challenges
- field trips and interdisciplinary reflection
- a student session focused on Anthropocene education
- strengthening of long-term interuniversity collaboration
