Anthropocene Ruptures: Crossing Borders, Building Connections

1 min read

On October 9–10, 2025, Charles University will host the workshop Anthropocene Ruptures: Crossing Borders, Building Connections. This event is our team’s first networking activity supported by the CENTRAL platform. In this case, this involves collaboration between Charles University, Humboldt University, and the University of Vienna.

Our aim in organizing this workshop is to connect researchers and students from Central Europe and open up new avenues for international cooperation in the field of Anthropocene research. The program will offer discussion panels, round tables, a student forum, and a field trip led by Karolína Pauknerová.

The workshop will be opened by Cyril Říha, Director of the Center for Theoretical Study, which will be further represented by Petr Pokorný, David Storch, and Michaela Nohejlová-Zemková, together with graduates and participants of our micro-credential learning program Anthropocene. Eight colleagues from partner institutions in Berlin and Vienna, including both senior and junior researchers, will also participate.
